The literature piece, Doing Rhetorical Criticism is more of the less talking about how to critique a piece of writing the correct way. It gave us four different ways on how to go about doing this. Not only did this article discuss ways to criticize a paper but it also informed you on how to write a paper and it gave the readers numerous of components that should be included in the paper that a person is writing. It was very detailed in stated the points that they were improvising. After reading this, I now have a more precise understanding on how to do constructive criticism on any of my peers’ literature pieces. The author also talked about finding an artifact in the literature piece and then analyzing it.

When the author talked about the 5 components that should be in a literature piece was very informing. Especially when he talked about finding an artifact. I, personally believe that he did a good job on explaining it because it was very helpful to the point as to where I could easily write a paper. I have a better understanding on critique a piece of literature in a respectable, yet informing way. The way that the author went about explaining things were beyond intriguing. After reading each paragraph you would have had a descriptive explanation on each topic that was covered.

I can say that the article didn’t come off to be the best thing to read, however, it was very informative. It covered a lot of information that could help a lot of us become excellent writers and critiques. Even though you have to read more than the first page to understand how much information that this piece contained. I’m happy that I read it because it will indeed help me in the near future.
